The Cake Place story

What started out creating my children’s birthday cakes, has turned into a passion. My first fondant cake was made for my daughter at the age of 6 who was obsessed with Elsa and the movie Frozen. From here, my love of cakes and design has continued to grow and my daughter has also caught the “cake bug”.

With the encouragement and interest from friends and family, The Cake Place was born in the early 2020’s.

Operating out of Buderim, Queensland, The Cake Place is proud to create unique one of a kind cakes and cupcakes for all occasions using the finest ingredients, locally sourced where possible.

The Cake Place is so much more than cupcakes and cakes. We are a community based “mother daughter” team and we pride ourselves in the careful attention to your order.

We enjoy being challenged and trying new designs and techniques together.
